The agency is certified by the Missouri Department of Mental Health, Division of Behavioral Health as a provider of Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment services and accredited through CARF as a provider of Integrated Alcohol and Other Drug and Mental Health services at all of its locations.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

This position requires a High School Diploma or GED. Must be over the age of 21. Reliable judgment, good observation skills, dependability, and forthright demeanor are required. It requires the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Certification in CPR/First Aid is required or can be obtained shortly after being hired. Flexibility to perform shift work is essential, as well as the ability to accurately record and communicate diverse information. Familiarity in using computer programs such as Microsoft Office is beneficial. A Missouri Class "E" Driver's License is required. This position requires long periods of standing or walking on varied and uneven surfaces. Working in various weather conditions including extreme heat and cold may be required.

Must pass background check provided for the agency by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Family Care Safety Registry which includes the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Department of Social Services, Department of Mental Health, and Department of Health and Senior Services. Must not be on any "do not hire" list through the Department of Mental Health or the Missouri Division of Family Services.

JOB DUTIES:

Responsibilities include maintaining the safety and security of agency grounds and property.
Maintain a safe and clean environment by observing general rules of good housekeeping.
Report maintenance problems, broken or malfunctioning equipment, report additional mechanical safety concerns following established reporting procedures.
Perform routine shift duties as assigned and scheduled.
Properly maintains Daily Log record keeping of activities.
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises.
Conduct perimeter checks of agency grounds.
Maintain detailed and accurate Facility Search Logs.
Properly documents and disposes of contraband located on agency grounds, as outlined in policy procedure.
Documents appropriately using agency approved formats in an Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
Respond to medical emergencies by administering basic first aid or by obtaining assistance from medical personnel.
Completion of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training, Community Reentry Service training and other trainings may be required.
