Southeast Missouri Behavioral Health is a community based, healthcare provider of substance abuse, mental health, and co-occurring disorder treatment services. The agency is certified by the Missouri Department of Mental Health, Division of Behavioral Health as a provider of Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment services and accredited through CARF as a provider of Integrated Alcohol and Other Drug and Mental Health services at all of its locations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Southeast Missouri Behavioral Health gives hiring preference to applicants who achieve National Career Readiness Certification (NCRC).  To receive NCRC, interested applicants must contact a Missouri Career Center.  A High School diploma/GED is required.  Graduation from a College level business or secretarial school is preferred.  Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures and skilled in the use and care of standard office machines and equipment.    Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office software applications to include spreadsheets, word processing, and database management is essential. 

Must pass background check provided for the agency by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Family Care Safety Registry which includes the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Department of Social Services, Department of Mental Health and Department of Health and Senior Services.  Must not be on any "do not hire" list with the Department of Mental Health or the Missouri Division of Family Services. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provide administrative support in an office environment by performing basic clerical, secretarial and office duties.  Responsible for providing a full range of telephone duties by following approved telephone procedures and practices.  Greet customers and effectively work with consumers in the community.  Must be proficient in spelling, punctuation, grammar and other English language skills.   Good communication and organizational skills are required. This job classification covers all clerical positions with the organization which range from entry-level positions to positions which require expanded experience and advanced skills.   Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of the job.  This position may require overtime.
